In Conversation with Professor Caroline Lenette from the University of New South Wales.
Disrupting colonial research requires a multifaceted strategy, given how entrenched western-centric practices are in (white-majority) academic and research institutions. A commitment to anti-colonial research methodologies must be supported by anti-colonial practices in the classroom and in institutions, and by ethical engagement with First Nations and majority-world scholars around the world.
This presentation will reflect on anti-colonial, creative and participatory methodologies in research to contribute to knowledge justice in the white institution. Anti-coloniality builds momentum to destabilise colonialist-infused structures that are harmful to everyone.
This event is presented by the School of Public Policy and Global Affairs and the Centre for Migration Studies.
