Join the Centre for Chinese Research for a talk with Julia G. Bentley, a former Canadian diplomat who served in Beijing, Taipei, New Delhi and Kuala Lumpur. She was awarded a four-month Policy Practitioner Fellowship at UBC’s School of Public Policy and Global Affairs in 2023, and a three-month Taiwan Fellowship in spring 2025. She is now affiliated with the Munk School at University of Toronto, the York Centre for Asian Research, the Asia Pacific Foundation of Canada and National Taiwan University’s Centre for China Studies. She has degrees in East Asian Studies from Princeton and University of Toronto, as well as a post graduate diploma in modern Chinese history from Nanjing University.
