Join us for a lively discussion on women’s representation in Canada in two aspects: electoral politics and Political Science academia.

This event is now sold out. Thank you for your interest.

All panels will be followed by a Q&A session for panelists to engage with the audience. Panelists will share their lived experiences and journeys as women in politics and discuss the importance of women’s representation.

This evening hopes to contribute to a better understanding of women’s representation in Canadian politics and open up discussion on how we can achieve equality in this field. The audience will learn more about the challenges our panelists faced and are facing as women in politics and how they overcame these struggles.

This event is proudly sponsored by the University of British Columbia’s Center for the Study of Democratic Institutions (CSDI), the School of Public Policy and Global Affairs and the UBC Department of Political Science.

We invite folks from all walks of life, especially those who identify as women, femmes, and non-binary.
