President, MPPGA 2021/2022 Student Association

Jemimah graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Communications and a Post-graduate certificate in Events Management. She has worked for the last six years as a Communications and Events specialist in the private, public, and education sectors. With her passion for women affairs, Jemimah has organized several women’s conferences that featured Dragons Den’s Arlene Dickinson and Manjit Minhas as guest speakers. Also, her work as a radio host for an Alternative Radio Station in Toronto involved interviewing guests with expertise in African history, politics and policies. For five years, she has been heavily involved with serving the homeless community through fundraising for a not-for-profit organization in Calgary. Furthermore, her volunteer work with migrants led her to start a mentorship programme for the Yazidi refugee community in Calgary. Jemimah’s devotion to NGOs has taken her to a few countries in West Africa, working especially with women and children.

Her main interests are in East Asia policies and the fostering of bilateral relations between Canada and East Asia. Through the MPPGA program, she intends to acquire multidisciplinary knowledge on policies affecting global governance, security, human rights, and development.
