About

Travis graduated from the Smith School of Business at Queen’s University in 2018. Despite being a full time Commerce student, Travis dedicated a significant portion of his time studying and researching the field of global affairs and international relations. His passion and interest in global matters and public policies was sparked when he interned at the Consulate of Finland’s International Investment Division in Shanghai. He has hands-on experience working as the Assistant Investment Advisor for both Chinese and Finnish businesses during the official state visit of the Finnish Prime Minister to PR China in 2017. Travis spent his third-year exchange opportunity at Queen’s University’s Bader International Study Centre in the U.K., and studied International Law and Politics, with a special research focus on the regional peace and security of the South China Sea. Over the course of his undergraduate career, Travis spent an equivalent of one year working for a Fortune 500 consulting firm, Accenture Strategy, on various marketing and operation consulting projects. Given his unique cultural, linguistic and academic background, Travis is looking forward to helping Canadian businesses and government agencies to foster stable, friendly and mutually beneficial relationships with their partners in the Asia Pacific region.
