The Institute of Asian Research (IAR), housed within the UBC School of Public Policy and Global Affairs, is the focal point on Asia policy and current affairs at UBC. The Institute seeks to build knowledge that supports a deep understanding and effective action in addressing a wide range of domestic, regional, and global problems centered on Asia. IAR advances this mission through its research, teaching (Asia oriented policy degree), network-building, community interaction, and policy engagement initiatives. The IAR Student Assistant for Finance and Admin lends vital support to the staff team of the Institute of Asian Research.
