Speaker Bio: H.E. Hassan Soroosh, Ambassador of Afghanistan to Canada
Ambassador Hassan Soroosh has more than 17 years of experience with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Afghanistan working in different capacities in Kabul and at various Afghan missions abroad. Mr. Soroosh’s main positions prior to this post and during his career with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Afghanistan include: Director General for Economic Cooperation at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Afghanistan in Kabul; Charge d’Affaires at the Embassy and Permanent Mission of Afghanistan in Vienna; Counselor at the Embassy of Afghanistan in Washington, DC; Deputy Director General for Economic Affairs; Director of Regional Cooperation; Acting Director of Human Rights Department; and Second Secretary at the Embassy of Afghanistan in Tokyo.
