Grace Jaramillo is a sessional instructor with the UBC Master of Public Policy and Global Affairs program, as well as a SPPGA Fellow. She is a political scientist studying global political economy with more than 25 years of experience building bridges between academia and public policy around international development and international political economy and foreign policy strategy. Her most recent contribution is Latin American Foreign Policies in the XXI Century: Comparative Analyses with Palgrave Macmillan. Actively participates in development initiatives in the Americas in her role as Vice-President of ESQUEL Foundation, the largest developmental NGO in Ecuador and the Latin American Network for Women in International Relations. Served as Head of the International Relations Program at FLACSO, the largest academic think-tank in Latin America as well as a recognized graduate studies program. Twice nominated to the CAF-Brookings 20 leading young thinkers of Latin America.
