Mahnoor Lone joined the School of Public Policy and Global Affairs as Communications and Project Assistant in fall 2023. As part of this role she facilitates connections between the diverse array of centers housed under the school’s Institute of Asian Research and it’s broader communications platforms. She also supports the IAR Fellows Program by liaising with graduate fellows and arranging workshops for the program.

Mahnoor graduated from the M.A. Asian Studies program at UBC in 2023. Her graduate research focused on the effects of colonialism on Urdu and Persian literature in 18th Century India. When she is not in the office she enjoys practicing new mediums of creating visual art.
