Are you an organization who has an idea for a project and wants to partner with one of our policy research teams?

The Global Policy Project (GP²) (PPGA 590) is a signature component of the professional Master of Public Policy and Global Affairs (MPPGA) program. In these capstone projects, student teams consult directly for client organizations to address real-world policy challenges, applying their interdisciplinary backgrounds, creative thinking, and analytical skills to propose solutions.

Clients range from government departments, Indigenous nations, multilateral institutions, think tanks, NGOs, community-based organizations, survivor-led entities, academic institutions and more.

Client Testimonials

“For us there’s a lot of questions that need to be answered. It’s very important to have researchers, like the research team coming from UBC, to engage with those questions: to help reach out to stakeholders, to help to analyze the outcomes of those consultations, and then to turn those into recommendations for policy and how policy can change.”

Micah Ingalls, Mekong Region Land Governance Project (GP² client)

“Transform Rural India (TRI) has hosted four students for GP², working on an intersectional topic on Gender and Public Health, and we are experiencing the benefit from their unique and fresh perspectives… I look forward to my organization’s continued participation in shaping GP² for the upcoming cohorts. Together, we can build something larger than ourselves.”

Nishi Kant Dixit, Transforming Rural India Foundation (GP² client)
