About the Project: This project investigates the 2025-2026 condition of agri-food demand in ASEAN, the strength of Canadian agri-food exports to inform the key barriers and untapped opportunities for Canadian agri-food export to member states of ASEAN. It aims to recommend strategies to respond to those challenges and take advantage of agribusiness opportunities by Canadian and ASEAN member state governments. The goal is to supplement multinational efforts for trade diversification and the mitigation of food insecurity in Southeast Asia, amid ongoing Canada-ASEAN Free Trade Agreement negotiations.
