The Liu Institute Network for Africa (LINA) was established in early 2018 to bring together researchers and community members working on global issues affecting Africa and African issues affecting the world.
To officially launch the Liu Institute Network for Africa (LINA) to the wider research community in British Columbia, an inaugural showcase of the network will be held on October 18-19th, 2019.
This event will feature researchers from Africa and research activities relating to Africa.
Dialogues, writing, research posters, music and art under the broad themes of education, decision-making (policy), and environment will be featured during this two day event. Attendees will have an opportunity to engage with LINA members and discuss the mission and vision of LINA while connecting with the network at UBC and in the surrounding community.
UBC graduate, post-doctoral and faculty researchers are invited to submit abstracts by September 20, 2019.
