The situation on the Korean peninsula looms as a major threat to global peace and stability in the coming year. On the eve of the Vancouver meeting of foreign ministers hosted by Chrystia Freeland and Rex Tillerson on January 16th, we are convening an expert panel to evaluate the current moment and assess what is likely to emerge from the Ministerial meeting and in the months to come. What would be optimal outcome? Looking forward, what is the right balance and sequencing of pressure, diplomacy, and civil society contacts? Where does Canada fit?
