Columbia University economist Joseph Stiglitz is a leading scholar on the causes of inequality and a strong advocate for political and economic reform to address its consequences. He is a former senior vice president and chief economist of the World Bank and author of several books including, The Great Divide: Unequal Societies and What We Can Do About Them (2015).

Yves Tiberghien is the Director of the Institute of Asian Research, Executive Director of the UBC China Council, Co-Director of the Master of Public Policy and Global Affairs, and Associate Professor of Political Science. Prof. Tiberghien studies global economic governance.
