This event is a part of the Mongolia Lecture Series.
We are roughly halfway through Mongolia’s parliamentary election campaign. A panel of speakers affiliated with UBC’s Mongolia Focus blog will review the campaign up until now and discuss the campaign platforms of the dominant parties as well as some of the groups and individuals attempting to challenge this dominance.
Speakers:
- Dr. Marissa Smith, independent researcher
- Bulgan Batdorj, incoming PhD student, Resources, Environment and Sustainability, UBC
- Dr. Julian Dierkes, Associate Professor, School of Public Policy and Global Affairs
For a preview of the election that focused on the electoral system, the parties/candidates competing, and some of the main issues, see here.
