“Iran in the World: The Nuclear Crisis in Context” provides the presentations and discussions from the first conference of the Simons Centre’s program on Iran’s nuclear ambitions. The Iran Program aims to build a better understanding of Iran’s nuclear activities by examining them from Iranian perspectives. Iran is often viewed internationally as being an archetypal proliferation problem, overlooking the complex unique historical, social and political factors that influence Iranian nuclear interests. The global consequences of Iran’s nuclear program underscore the need for broader knowledge about, and insight into, these driving forces. “Iran in the World: The Nuclear Crisis in Context” offers provocative and sometimes controversial explorations in a summary ideal for knowledgeable individuals mulling current policy challenges.
