The Knowledge Partnership Program (KPP) organized, on September 15, 2022, a panel discussion on Indo-Pacific Strategy (IPS) and the Korean Peninsula at the Annual Jeju Forum for Peace and Prosperity. As part of the second KPP-Parliamentarian Delegation Visit to South Korea, the panel brought together former foreign ministers, parliamentarians, diplomats, and leading scholars from Canada, Korea, and the US.  Moderated by SPPGA Professor Kyung-Ae Park, the panelists assessed the Indo-Pacific strategies of these countries and exchanged views on the implications for the region. They focused on the country-specific Indo-Pacific Strategy, institutional frameworks for multilateral cooperation, and regional implications, including inter-Korean relations and the US-China competition. The panel provided a timely discussion on the IPS of the major players and their impact across the region. The discussion represented the KPP’s continued efforts toward knowledge diplomacy and engagement of stakeholders from the academic, government, policy communities, and civil society.
