MPPGA Teaching Assistant Opportunity

The School of Public Policy and Global affairs is seeking Teaching Assistants for Winter Term 2025-26 in the following courses:

  • PPGA 508 – Policy in Context (2 Positions | Term 1)
    • Analytical tools for assessing policy in different cultural contexts, inter-cultural communication skills, ethics, and effective community engagement in policy work.
  • PPGA 514A – Research Design and Qualitative Methods (2 Positions | Term 1)
    • Research design principles and ethics. Methods for qualitative data collection and analysis to inform policy decision making. Focus on participant-observation, interviewing, focus groups, content, and gender-based analysis.

Please note that the final number of Teaching Assistant positions available and hours of work will depend upon budgetary constraints determined by final course enrollments. Shortlisted candidates will be contacted once the application period has closed

Salary
GTA II: $38.65/hour (as of Sept 1, 2024)
GTA I:  $40.16/hour (as of Sept 1, 2024)
