Professor David Boyd to Present Report on the Right to a Clean, Healthy and Sustainable Environment



Professor David Boyd (SPPGA; IRES) is the UN Special Rapporteur on human rights and the environment. He contributes two annexes, on global sacrifice zones and good practices, to the UN report titled The Right to a Clean, Healthy and Sustainable Environment. He is set to present the report to the Human Rights Council in Geneva on March 10.

The UN Human Rights Council adopted and recognized the human right to a clean, healthy, and sustainable environment on October 8, 2021. This resolution marks a turning point in the fight for universal human rights and can accelerate action to address the global environmental crisis.
