Veena Sriram

Veena Sriram, Assistant Professor with a joint appointment in the School of Public Policy and Global Affairs (SPPGA) and the School of Population and Public Health (SPPH) at the University of British Columbia, has recently joined the PLOS Global Public Health Editorial Board as an Academic Editor.

PLOS Global Public Health is a global forum for public health research that reaches across disciplines and regional boundaries to address some of the biggest health challenges and inequities facing the world. PLOS Global Public Health publishes a new Open Access journal focused on global health with an interdisciplinary perspective, and with a focus on ensuring diverse representation in their processes.

Dr. Sriram’s research sits at the intersection of global health, social science and public policy, and her interests are in understanding power and politics in health policy processes in low- and middle-income countries. As a member of the Editorial Board, she will work alongside researchers to drive diversity at all levels, helping to broaden the range of perspectives to learn from and advancing the health of all humankind.
