Rashid Sumaila Inducted into the Royal Society of Canada



Professor Rashid Sumaila (SPPGA; Institute for Oceans & Fisheries) is honoured to be inducted into the Royal Society of Canada for his cutting-edge work in bioeconomics and marine ecosystems. His inspiring message for new scholars: “Anyone who puts in his or her best will never regret it.”

The Royal Society of Canada fellowship comprises of over 2000 distinguished Canadians who are peer-elected as the top of their field. These are Canadian scholars, artists, and scientists who have made notable contributions to the arts, the humanities and the sciences, as well as Canadian public life.
