SPPGA Postdoctoral Fellow Vincent Ialenti Joins as Berggruen Fellow

Vincent Ialenti

Congratulations to SPPGA Postdoctoral Fellow Vincent Ialenti who will be joining the Berggruen Institute’s notable community of thinkers as a Fellow this fall. The Institute’s seventh cohort of fellows will research ideas for shaping society that reimagine foundational systems and grow from interdisciplinary symbiosis and exchange, helping contribute towards new possibilities for the post-Covid world.

Vincent Ialenti is an anthropologist who studies the cultures of nuclear waste experts in Finland and the United States. He shares: “I’m thrilled to join such a talented group of fellows in Los Angeles this fall. The research on long-term nuclear waste policy frameworks I developed at SPPGA will surely inform my work with USC’s and The Berggruen Institute’s innovative ‘Creative Futures’ working group, which explores long-term solutions to social and civic issues.”

Founded by philanthropist and investor Nicolas Berggruen in 2010, the Berggruen Institute develops the foundational ideas and critical analysis needed to ensure enduring progress for political, economic, and social institutions in the 21st century.
