SPPGA Welcomes Zoe Braden, Postdoctoral Research Fellow

The School of Public Policy and Global Affairs (SPPGA) warmly welcomes Dr. Zoe Braden as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow working with SPPGA Director and Professor Allison Macfarlane at the University of British Columbia.

Zoe BradenZoe’s previous research involves combining a variety of field and analytical techniques to investigate subduction zone dynamics in Alaska and in the Austrian Alps, and mountain-building processes in the Nepalese Himalaya, the Italian Variscan belt, and the Trans-Hudson in the Canadian Arctic.

At the SPPGA, Zoe will be examining Canada’s nuclear waste repository site selection with Dr. Allison Macfarlane.

We are excited to have Zoe here to expand our expertise on the technical aspects of geologic disposal of nuclear waste in Canada.  Zoe’s experience as a field geologist will inform her work on nuclear waste issues.”
