Men and women have long been thought to have different views across a range of issues, but is there a gender gap between Canadian men and women’s views on Asia? MPPGA student Kiran Alwani explores this question based on findings from the Asia Pacific Foundation of Canada’s 2016 National Opinion Poll which indicate that while there are similarities in opinion on some issues, there are clear differences on others.
Men and women were asked for their opinions on their feelings toward Asia Pacific countries, their views on engagement and trade, their attitudes towards investment, their views on human rights, and their views on foreign threats and policy priorities.
