UBC Performing Well According to Times Higher Education Rankings

The University of British Columbia (UBC) continues to do well in international rankings. In the Times Higher Education subject rankings in 2019, we placed in the top 100 in all categories. We are ranked #52 overall in Arts and Humanities.

The Times Higher Education University Impact Rankings are the only global performance tables that assess universities against the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals. They use carefully calibrated indicators to provide comprehensive and balanced comparisons across three broad areas: research, outreach, and stewardship.

Importantly, when looking at University Impact Rankings 2019 by Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), UBC ranks first in Climate Action and third in Sustainable Cities and Communities.  We ranked eigth in the world on SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals, which looks at the broader ways in which universities support the SDGs through collaboration with other countries, the promotion of best practices and the publication of data.
