Anshul Tipnis
About
Originally from India, Anshul lived in Bangkok and Singapore before moving to Canada in 2018 to study political science and minor in law at Carleton University in Ottawa. His undergraduate degree, combined with his experience working at a think tank, led him to see the importance of cultivating policy with stakeholders including practitioners, citizens, academics, and others. Through work experience, Anshul also developed a grassroots understanding of the need to simply listen to people’s issues and ideas. He also understands that the policy world requires a multicultural and multilateral approach for society’s long-term goals.
Over the years he has developed a keen interest in Canadian politics, specifically in the realm of elections and campaigns. When not in class, Anshul enjoys the outdoors and is passionate about cooking and sampling wines from around the world. Over the course of the MPPGA program, he is looking to gain foundational skills needed to implement policies that actually make a difference. Anshul hopes to one day become a diplomat and a Canadian policymaker.
