We are saddened to report the sudden passing of Dr. Surin Pitsuwan, former Foreign Minister of Thailand and Secretary General of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations. He was a good friend of many in the academic world and visited us twice, a courageous champion of human security and the Responsibility to Protect.
