Dr. Kristi Kenyon, Liu Scholar Alumna and Assistant Professor at the University of Winnipeg, has been selected by the Canadian Institute for Advanced Research (CIFAR) as a 2017 CIFAR Azrieli Global Scholar. This designation includes $100,000 of research support and admission into CIFAR’s Successful Societies Program. Her research involves the “intersection of political science, public health, development, human rights and law with a focus on questions of social well-being and belonging.”

Dr. Kenyon is also a releasing a book, titled Resilience and Contagion. It involves the study of civil society organizations which adopt rights-based discourse to promote the rights of those living with HIV in sub-Saharan Africa.
