About the African Leaders of Tomorrow (ALT) Scholarship Program:

Funded by Global Affairs Canada and The MasterCard Foundation, The African Leaders of Tomorrow (ALT) Scholarship Program commemorates the late Nelson Mandela’s commitment to social justice and equity by offering young African women and men the opportunity to study in a Master’s degree program in Canada in public administration, public policy or public finance. The ALT Scholarship Program grants scholarships based on merit to young professionals from a range of sub‐Saharan countries. The main goal of the scholarship is to contribute to a strong and effective public sector in sub‐Saharan Africa. Special consideration will be given to equitable representation across the continent and to the advancement of women leaders.
