Richard Kinley Speaks on UN Climate Change Policy

The School of Public Policy and Global Affairs hosted former Deputy Executive Secretary of the United Nations Climate Change Secretariat, Richard Kinley, at a time when national dialogue surrounding climate change policy is needed more than ever.
The adoption of the Paris Agreement was hailed as a major step forward in international climate policy, and was proof that multilateralism could produce successful, win-win outcomes.  Kinley delved into the components of its success and contrasted the outcome of Paris with the bitter experience of the Copenhagen climate negotiations 6 years earlier.
For more on where Canada stands regarding its promise on climate change mitigation, see Richard Kinley’s CBC interview.
