Adiya Baratova is an open-minded and internationally oriented individual. She is ethnically Uighur, born in Kazakhstan, has lived in Spain for ten years, and moved to Canada in 2018, where she completed her undergraduate degree in Psychology and Sociology.

She is fluent in 5 languages and thrives in international environments, bringing many cross-cultural experiences and a multidisciplinary approach to her work. She has professional experience working in international organizations, including the Centre of Rapprochement of Cultures under UNESCO (Category II) in Almaty.

Adiya is passionate about further researching and addressing problems of international accountability, equitable climate change, and social justice by improving policies and international diplomatic relations. Through the MPPGA degree, she looks forward to further expanding and diversifying her knowledge and skills in international policy and affairs.

Her goal is to create a successful career in international organizations such as the United Nations, where she plans to improve relationships with local organizations, work on peace resolution strategies and develop innovative policy improvements in social justice and sustainability that consider cultural differences and individual economic goals.
