Charlotte Bull

MPPGA Student, Class of 2024

About

Charlotte is a dual-national European citizen originally from England and speaks both German and English natively. She recently graduated from Trinity College Dublin with first class honours in political science and geography.

While completing her undergraduate degree, she was active in numerous college societies focusing on international affairs, including a role as the features editor for a student-run magazine. She was also the co-chair of a grassroots working group which advocated for increased access to third-level education for refugees and asylum seekers in Ireland. In summer 2022, she completed an internship with the Policy and Advocacy unit of Oxfam Ireland, where she undertook policy analysis and research in vaccine equity, migration and climate justice.

Owing to this varied experience, she has become interested in a variety of policy issues, including humane migration policy, urban sustainability and environmental governance. Furthermore, through learning Korean and having previously completed university courses in Hong Kong and South Korea, she has become particularly passionate about how these policy issues manifest themselves in East Asian countries. By taking part in the MPPGA program, she hopes to acquire the additional tools necessary for tackling pressing issues in these fields in order to make a positive impact on people’s lives in a global NGO.

Outside of studying, Charlotte enjoys travelling and skiing and can wait to explore Vancouver and hit the slopes of Whistler!
